As of this morning Juande Ramos has taken over as head coach of Tottenham Hotspur FC. Ramos’ first game will be the Carling Cup tie at home to Blackpool. Ramos has won successive UEFA Cups at Sevilla alongside a European Supercup and the Spanish Supercup with victories over Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Ramos also brings with him his fitness coach Marcos Alvarez, and the club have now announced that the Assistant Manager will be former Spurs legend Gustavo Poyet.

All three arrived at Spurs Lodge this morning to take their first training session with the squad.

Sevilla meanwhile have reported Spurs to UEFA as they feel Spurs made an illegal approach for Ramos without first gaining his clubs permission. We’ll keep you up to date on this one as it develops.
