Phil Ifil

21 year old right back Phil Ifil has completed a move to Colchester United for an undisclosed fee rumoured to be around £700,000 with future fee’s dependant on his performances for the team. He will join Spurs legend Teddy Sheringham who has this season scored 3 goals for The U’s at the ripe age of 41.

Ifil initially made an impact in his debut against Liverpool in the first game of the 2004-05 season but lost his place following the arrival of Paul Stalteri. Since then Ifil has failed to make an impact on the first team and has spent time on loan at Milwall and Southampton.
