Woodgate Signs From ‘Boro

Jonathan Woodgate

England International Jonathan Woodgate has signed a three and a half year contract with Tottenham Hotspur for a fee rumoured to be around £7million.

Woodgate has formally played for Leeds, Newcastle and Real Madrid before joining his home town club Middlesbrough initially on loan in 2006 with the deal being made permanent in the summer.

Woodgate, 28, is a highly rated defender but like a number of Spur’s current defensive players has a less than stellar appearance record due to frequent injury problems.
