The rather protracted transfer of Alan Hutton from Rangers to Spurs has finally been completed and will see the 23 year old right back join the club and available for selection for the home game against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

The deal looked to be off earlier in the transfer window when Hutton rejected a move to Spurs saying he wanted to remain at Rangers. Rangers appear to have forced him out though saying they could not turn down the £9million fee and going as far as giving Hutton a £1million payoff to end his contract.
