Vectis Spurs meet Dimitar Berbatov
On Saturday 22nd March 2008, Vectis Spurs made the trip to White Hart Lane for the premiership fixture versus Portsmouth. Whilst the 34 members who made the journey enjoyed the well deserved 2-0 victory over the South coast club, for 6 members their was the already pre-arranged presentation of the 2006/07 player of the year award to Spurs’ Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Mark White, Helen Richardson, John Arnold, Anthony Dean, Dave Williams & Ron Jeffrey were the lucky people who were lucky to meet the man and present him with a lovely piece of Isle of Wight glassware inlaid with 24 carat gold. Well Done Dimitar and thanks to those who went in, especially to Mark for making the presentation on behalf of Vectis Spurs.
