Tottenham have completed the signing of French defender Sebastien Bassong from Newcastle United for a fee of ?8million.
23 year old Bassong was one of the few Newcastle players to come out of last season with a good reputation having joined the club last summer from FC Metz for a fee of just ?500,00! He made 34 appearances for Newcastle and was voted their player of the season.
The defender who can play at either left back or centre back has made two appearances for the French Under 21’s.
