Sam, congratulations on a great new look web-site!

It must have taken a lot of hard work to get it up & running.

It looks really good & professional.

Lets hope it will be well used by Vectis Spurs members.

Good luck

Dave Duffy

Thanks Dave.

Have just moved into a new flat with my other half and been without internet access for a while hence the late reply.

Are you returning to the games this year?

I admired your determination to prove a point to Levy & Co. last year but surely the lure of a relegation battle is too much to resist? Frown

Hi sam,

No, I am still boycotting the Lane (until Levy has gone anyway)

Unfortunately I could not go this season due to health reasons.

Mr Levy should have sold out while he had a chance & our club was worth at least £250m He probably wouldnt get half of that at present.

I am so sad to see our great club going downhill in this way. I still blame levy putting profit before football.

Whoever was responsible for letting both our top strikers go at the last minute, without getting sufficient cover should be sacked.

I think my all time hero (Leds) should have been left out of the team & a top defender brought in long before the season started. How can a man only play every 3rd or 4th game, it means switching the defence every time he is out. We cant get a back 4 establisahed at all like this.

Our defence is a shambles and urgently needs a top man to be brought in to help coach our defence before it is too late. I dont think Ramos has the ability to organise our defence.

Also we cant score goals, I cant believe Ramos said ” Bent & the Russian cant play together, because they are too much alike” Who the F*** gave the permission to buy the Russian then?

I am really worried now, our players seem to lack any heart and I cant see where the leadership is going to come from.

I keep telling myself we have just been unlucky up till now, but thats wearing a bit thin now.

I hope we dont get relegated, but the way the bottom teams are playing in the Premiership today, I cant see any easy games coming along this season. The next 3 to 4 weeks will be make or break for us.If we are bottom at Xmas its almost sure we will go down.

Hey, Ive been there before & we could come right  back again.

Whatever the outcome, I will still be supporting  my team, too late to change now after 48 years.

COME ON YOU SPURS!

There's a lot of scary statistic's running around the internet and the back pages right now but two in particular stand out to me. Only one team has ever had 2 points at this point in the season and avoided relegation, they were Southampton, a team used to fighting relegation every year. Fighting is something our players just don't seem to have in them.

Also, if you assume that for the rest of our season we simply repeat the results we gained at the same clubs last year we will still finish with a paltry 34 points.

Up until yesterday I kept telling people we would come good and we could fight our way out of it but now I don't know if I believe that. There were only two players out there yesterday who truly looked ready for the fight head of them. The first was the great Alan Hutton, a player I could see captaining our side in the future (he's certainly a better candidate than bloody Jenas) and the other,  player I normally have little time for, was little Aarron Lennon.

Like yourselve I love King, but it is time to thnk him for his service and either offer him a coaching role or ship him out. We can't have a captain who plays one in four games. Ledley is a great captain when fit, but he's not fit enough. Jenas as vice-captain is beyond laughable. The guy has yet to string two good performances together in a row.

Put the captain's armband on Woodgate, drop those that aren't willing to work. Bring in O'Hara who did brilliantly for the England U21's last week, a player who may lack in pure football talent but never lacks in grit and determination.

Tough times are ahead and it's only going to get more difficult with our next few games. The best we can hope for in my opinion is an early elimination from all three cups to get the team focussed on the league. And we can definately kiss goodbye to European football next year, we're more likely to be facing home games against Burnley and QPR.
